7 Quick and Easy DIY Lipcare Tips and Tricks

There’s nothing worse than a chapped, dry lipstick that’s coming out in tiny threads off your damaged lips. In this post, we are sharing some extremely quick and easy tips to take care of your lips in all seasons, so you’re always up for a kiss whenever you want.

  1. 1 Make DIY Mac lipstick from crayons.

Heat up some coconut oil and mix it with the shavings of your favorite crayon. You can also use different crayons together to create new shades. Microwave the whole thing once to get a smooth mixture. Pour in your empty MAC lipsticks and you're done!

  2. 2 Need quick and easy lipstain? Use Kool-Aid.

Take out some Kool-Aid. Dampen your finger and press it in the powder. Rub it all over your lips. Dampen a Q-tip and smooth over your lips to even it out.

  3. 3 Use baby oil to soften your lips overnight.

In addition to using it when clear lipgloss isn't available, baby oil can also be used to give you baby soft lips.

Add a teaspoon of baby oil, half teaspoon of sugar and a few drops of lemon juice together. Mix it all well. Then rub the mixture on your lips for 2-3 minutes and done. You can make a nightly lip-care routine to always have baby soft lips.

  4. 4 Do this to wipe off excess lipstick.

When applying lipstick if you get some on under the lips, put your finger in your mouth, close the lips firmly and take out your finger. It'll wipe away the excess lipstick.

  5. 5 Make your own lip balm.

Take 4-5 tablespoons each of coconut oil and beeswax and microwave it. Put a portion of your old lipsticks in there and mix. Microwave again if needed. Pour in a few drops of your favorite essential oil and vitamin E. Mix it well and pour into your old lip balm containers or newly bought ones from the dollar store.

  6. 6 Use beetroot as a natural lip stain.

Take a medium-sized beetroot. After washing and peeling, cut it into small slices and grind it in a food processor. Don't add water because it will dilute the natural stain of the beetroot. Now strain it completely, add some coconut oil for shine and some beesewax. Mix it well and pour into lip balm containers. Place them in the refrigerator to set. And you're done.

  7. 7 Use wax-based lip liner.

If your lipstick is always bleeding from around the corners of your mouth, keep it inside the lines by using a waxy lip liner.
